The Senior Security Officer provides expertise, guidance and advice to senior management, program management, business development staff, employees, and business partners concerning all personnel and facilities security functions in support of a National Industrial Security Program compliant corporate Security department. The successful candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain the effective customer, company and team working relationships necessary to achieve corporate and security business objectives. This is an exempt position that reports to the Regional Security Manager. The position will require occasional travel and additional hours as required to meet company business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees HQ security functions in accordance with NISPOM requirements and oversee IAI collateral secret, SCI, and special access programs under the direction of the Regional Security Manager.

Interfaces with senior management, program management, employees and customers to address security items specific to each program and contract.

Writes security volumes and provides security oversight and support to business development and proposal development.

Acts as Facilities Security Officer for IAI s HQ and coordinates and delivers IAI s Insider Threat Programs.

Supports the development and delivery of Security Awareness, Training and Education briefings and products to company personnel.

Interfaces directly with customer security representatives for required reporting of personnel clearance actions.

Responsible for guard service management, access control management and other facilities and meeting-related security functions.

Prepares, obtains approval and executes security plans and quality procedures.

Pursues continued security education and training and active involvement in industrial security working groups and security forums.

Performs other duties as required in support of IAI s security and operations teams.

In addition to the above, daily responsibilities can include processing personnel security clearances, record maintenance, SCIF management, security meeting support and preparing visit requests.


Five (5) years related experience or equivalent combination.

Past security leadership experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and/or Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Knowledge of EQIP, JPAS and/or other Industry software applications.

Working knowledge of COMSEC accounts, policies, and procedures.

Experience dealing with personnel, program and Automated Information Systems (AIS) related incidents.

Familiarity with all aspects of Program Security to include physical, personnel, document control, classification management, education/awareness, and certification & accreditation processes.

Solid working knowledge of security management policies and procedures (NISPOM/SUPP/M1/ICDs/DCIDs) as well as DoD and Intelligence Community customers' clearance processing procedures and document control regulation.

Proven ability to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow-up and follow-through.

Self-starter with demonstrated initiative.

Ability to organize time, manage diverse activities and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word, and Excel.

Strong written and verbal skills.

All duties require the exercise independent judgment and discretion in the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters

Preferred Qualifications

Prior team leadership experience.

NRO customer experience.

Special Access program experience.

Four year undergraduate degree.

Security Requirements

Must have a minimum active TS/SCI eligible security clearance.
