In this workshop you will:

  • Learn how to more appropriately interact with people of different cultures,
  • Learn how to do business in varying cultures and societies,
  • Work through participants' real-world conflicts to find appropriate solutions,
  • Learn through hands-on activities and exercises, and
  • Network with a variety of professionals from diverse fields and backgrounds.

Workshop Objective
This one day seminar will introduce you to several dimensions of cultural difference among societies such as individualism and collectivism, affective and neutral cultures, specific and diffuse cultures, achievement and ascription oriented cultures, as well as how societies deal with time, whether they are past, present or future oriented. We shall discuss national cultures and corporate cultures and the cultures of poor, middle-class and wealthy groups in the U.S. The seminar will also present ways in which to reconcile different groups when they encounter each other. In each case the seminar will provide practical tips for doing business in various societies. Lastly, a way of achieving agreement when dealing with a very diverse group of people will be demonstrated. Exercises throughout the seminar will draw upon the personal experiences of participants.
