The Ph.D. program at George Mason University's School of Public Policy is one of the nation's largest; the School is the most prominent university-based policy institution in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The acumen of our faculty, coupled with our location just outside of Washington D.C., attracts candidates pursuant of a research focused multidisciplinary education facilitated by renowned academics and practitioners.
Students and faculty advisors work collaboratively together to design personalized curriculum appropriate to each student's academic interests and professional objectives. This enables candidates to tie their doctoral studies directly to their current and future career goals while utilizing the extensive resources available at the University and in the nation's capital.
The program fosters a culturally and philosophically diverse community of scholars where a true marketplace of ideas is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
At our Information Session, prospective students will obtain information about the curriculum, the application process, and the student experience from the program director, admissions staff and current doctoral students.
